With audience input, fate hanging in the balance, and buckets of betrayal, this is the Traitors as you’ve never seen it before, and no one is safe….
What Is the Play The Traitors - Acts of Betrayal About?
This brand new stage show takes the British TV phenomenon and adds a twist that Claudia Winkleman would definitely approve of… Asking the question: “who would win if different players were chosen as the traitors?”, the show begins identically on Mondays to Fridays - but ends in one of five different ways. In each story, anything can happen - characters who are banished or murdered in one version will snatch the victory in the next. Each play works as a complete, stand-alone piece of theatre, or when viewed together form a portrait of people under pressure in a theatrical event for the ages.
But, there’s more - on Saturdays, the audience are in charge, as they step into Winkleman’s shoes, selecting the Traitors, and their choice of who wears the cloak will determine in real time which of the five versions will be performed that evening. Filled with shifting alliances, devastating betrayals and creeping paranoia, The Traitors - Acts of Betrayal is wickedly good theatre.
The History of The Traitors - Acts of Betrayal
The Traitors - Acts of Betrayal is based on The Traitors UK TV show. The television show is based on the Dutch programme based on the Dutch series De Verraders, and first aired on BBC One in 2022. The show was an international hit, and was followed by three further series in 2024, 2025 and 2026, gaining popularity each time. A celebrity spin-off, Celebrity Traitors, aired in 2025. The show has won several awards, including BAFTAs for Best Reality and Constructed Factua and Best Entertainment Performance for host Claudia Winkelman, two RTS Awards, and two National Television Awards, and inspired spin-offs in Ireland, the US, Canada and Australia.

The Traitors - Acts of Betrayal is written by award-winning writer John Finnemore (Cabin Pressure, Good Omens). Robert Hastie (Standing at the Sky’s Edge, Operation Mincemeat) directs.
The show is produced by Studio Lambert (Gogglebox, The Circle), and Neal Street Productions (Hamnet, The Lehman Trilogy), the multi-award-winning teams behind many TV, film and theatre productions, including the original Traitors UK TV show.
