Venue overview
The Vaudeville Theatre is situated on the famous Strand. Originally built in the 1870's, the theatre has been continuously redesigned and now features a straight-on auditorium rather than a horseshoe shape. The theatre is known for presenting medium scale plays, particularly comedies including Forbidden Broadway and Hand to God.
The auditorium is particularly welcoming and boasts excellent views from all levels. The shape provides head-on views of the stage and feels intimate due to the size and scale of the building. There are some restrictions from support pillars dotted around in the rears of each level.
Good value seats
The Upper Circle provides excellent value for money without being too restricted. Seats at the ends of rows in the Dress Circle are also a good bet, as they are discounted due to pillar restrictions that barely affect the view.
Premium seats
Sit in the centre Stalls for the best overall view of the stage, as rows close up suffer from a high stage. Rows D-G are often best, as well as seats in the centre of the Dress Circle, which provide head-on, clear views of the stage.
