What do Casanova, Romeo, Cyrano de Bergerac and the Marquis de Sade have in common? These figures are some of the greatest lovers in literary history! This brand new musical, described as “SIX for men”(Musical Theatre Review), brings together these four unlikely fellows for one laugh-out-loud, steamy and truly unforgettable night. The History of World’s Greatest Lover
World's Greatest Lover premiered at 54 Below, off-Broadway in New York, before making its UK debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2025, earning five-star reviews and winning a Fringe Award. This production marks the show's London premiere, coming to The Other Palace - which has debuted many brand new musicals - for a strictly limited run this spring.

The Creative Team of World’s Greatest Lover
World’s Greatest Lover has a book by Julien Salvia and Ludovic-Alexandre Vidal, with music by Salvia and lyrics by Vidal. The award-winning French musical theatre writing duo have a career spanning over fifteen years, with credits including The Man Who Laughs, A Foreign Field, and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The pair are also Eurovision finalists, who penned the song "La Poupée Monte Le Son" for the 2025 Contest, which was performed by Laura Thorn representing Luxembourg.
Emmy Award-winner Joshua Bergasse (Smash, On the Town) directs and choreographs, with Phil Colgan (Hamilton, &Juliet) serving as associate director/choreographer
Set design is by Tony Winner Beowulf Boritt (New York, New York, Act One), with costume design by David Woolard (West Side Story, Carousel) and lighting design by Jason Lyons (Bring it On, Disney’s Frozen)
