Getting into the Venue
The Ambassador Theatre is accessible step free from the side entrance. For assistance, patrons should contact the Box Office upon arriving at the theater. The main entrance at 219 West 49th Street has two small steps up to the entrance.All wheelchair spaces and companion seats are across rows J to O in the Orchestra, which is completely step free. There are also six transfer seats across the section.
The Mezzanine is up two flights of stairs (38 steps) with an additional two steps up or down per row. Entrance is between the Front and Rear Mezzanines, behind row E, and handrails are available at every stepped row. Transfer seats are available in both parts of the Mezzanine.
There are no elevators or escalators at this venue.
Customer Assistance
Theater representatives may be unable to assist patrons to their seats, so it is best to attend with a companion where possible.A wheelchair accessible unisex restroom is located on the ground floor of the theater.
The Ambassador Theatre provides at-seat service for drinks and refreshments.

Section Accessibility
Orchestra
The Ambassador Theatre Orchestra is entirely step free for all patrons from the entrance and lobby.
The majority of the theater’s accessible seating is in this section, with seven wheelchair spaces in rows J to O. There are up to three companion seats available to purchase alongside each wheelchair space.
A further six aisle transfer seats with folding armrests can be found in rows G, H, M and N, with one companion seat available to purchase with each.
Front Mezzanine
The Front Mezzanine is located one floor above the Orchestra, and is accessible up two flights of stairs (38 steps). Once inside the section, entrance is behind row E, and there are a further two steps down to each row. Handrails are available at every stepped row to aid patrons.
There is just one aisle transfer seat in this section, in E26; a companion seat in E24 is also available to purchase. Patrons with limited mobility booking in this section should therefore take care on the stairs.
There are no wheelchair spaces in the Front Mezzanine.
Rear Mezzanine
The Rear Mezzanine is located one floor above the Orchestra, and is accessible up two flights of stairs (38 steps). Once inside the section, entrance is in front of row A, and there are a further two steps up per row. Handrails are available at every stepped row to aid patrons.
There are four aisle transfer seats in this section, in A101, A28, B102 and B28. One companion seat is located next to each of these. Because of the stairs up to and inside the section, patrons with limited mobility should take care when booking these seats.
There are no wheelchair spaces in the Rear Mezzanine.
