About An Enemy of the PeopleSmall-town doctor Thomas Stockmann is an upstanding citizen who wants the best for his tight-knit community, so when he discovers a major health issue in the local baths, he raises the alarm. Soon, Stockmann is public enemy number one: reviled, smeared and targeted by those in power… including his own brother.
Henrik Ibsen’s 20th-century classic is a sharp, compelling portrait of corruption that is both shocking and darkly funny. This brand-new adaptation by Tony Award nominee Amy Herzog - the writer behind last season’s acclaimed revival of A Doll’s House with Jessica Chastain - promises to be a daring, fresh and vitalizing theater experience, directed by Tony Award winner Sam Gold (Fun Home).
