Pulitzer Prize-winning play Between Riverside and Crazy transfers to Broadway for an exciting new premier, bringing a darkly funny story of gentrification, police violence and family to the Hayes Theater.

Walter “Pops” Washington is a retired cop and widower, living with his recently-paroled son Junior. Stephen Adly Guirgis’ (Jesus Hopped The 'A' Train) play premiered with Atlantic Theatre Company in 2014, and was awarded the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Drama as well as a Lucille Lortel Award and Outer Critics Circle Award.

The Between Riverside and Crazy Broadway production is directed by Austin Pendleton and stars Off-Broadway cast members including Stephen McKinley Henderson as Pops.
