What Is Celebrity Autobiography About?
This international comedy hit features a rotating cast of celebrities from TV, movies, stage, sports and even politics, each performing an autobiographical story - with a twist. Each performer will tell someone else’s (often unintentionally) side-splitting stories, rather than their own! With solo excerpts and ensemble mash-ups that combine passages from multiple autobiographies, no one performance of Celebrity Autobiography is the same.
The History of Celebrity Autobiography
Celebrity Autobiography first premiered off-Broadway in 2008, receiving the Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience. The show has since had sold-out runs at the Triad Theatre in New York, The Groundlings in Los Angeles, toured the United States and had a special three-night run on Broadway in 2018. The show has also toured internationally with productions in London’s West End, Edinburgh Fringe and at Australia’s Sydney Opera House. This strictly limited engagement marks the show's full-length Broadway debut.
