Girl From The North Country on Broadway Tickets
Inspired by Bob Dylan’s poignant music, this is an evocative musical about hopes, dreams and travellers in the heart of the USA.
Duluth, Minnesota in 1934. During the height of the Depression a family argues, harbors secrets, and worries about the cost of keeping their guest-house open. Each night, strangers stop off to rest their heads. Connecting through the universal language of music, this mis-matched group of dreamers find their existence disrupted – and inspired - by a boxer and preacher arriving on the same evening.
Taking inspiration from Bob Dylan’s affecting and poetic back catalogue, Girl from the North Country is written and directed by Conor McPherson (The Weir). It features songs including “Like a Rolling Stone” and “Forever Young”, in a moving combination of beloved songwriting and expert storytelling.
Casting for the show's run on Broadway includes Todd Almond (Public Works’ The Tempest) as Elias Burke, Jeannette Bayardelle (The Color Purple) as Mrs. Neilsen, Caitlin Houlahan (Waitress) as Kate Draper and Matt McGrath (Cabaret) as Reverend Marlowe.
Described by one critic as being “as close as mortals come to heaven on earth” (The New York Times), Girl from the North Country at the Belasco Theatre is a singular and rousing experience.

I left there thinking that I don't know as many Bob Dylan songs as I thought I did. The show is pretty dark--it takes place during the Depression and the characters are going through hard times. I liked hearing the new arrangements of the songs, an Read more
Great show with an amazing cast. Not your run of the mill musical with just one straight story it interweaves the stories of many different characters.
