When Eurydice is lured in by the greedy and commanding Hades with an offer too tempting to refuse, her husband must travel to the underworld to get her back. With a folk and blues-inspired soundtrack that seeps into your bones, Hadestown is a spellbinding journey that resonates with modern America.

The Hadestown musical was developed from Anais Mitchell’s concept album with Obie Award-winning director Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812). Mitchell provides the final book, music and lyrics, and the show features choreography by David Neumann. The industrial underworld is brilliantly realized by set designer Rachel Hauck, whose credits include This Wide Night and Tiny Beautiful Things.
