Jared Speight and Roxy Margaux, two artists with starkly different approaches to art and life, come face to face in Montauk. Jared Speight is a Long Island abstract artist, and Roxy Margaux is a star writer. Over the course of a decade, the pair became entangled both romantically and professionally, whilst holding upa mirror to the true motives behind the art they create.

Montauk is a brand-new play by David Hare, staged at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre as part of the Manhattan Theatre Club’s 2026-2027 season. It joins productions including Jocelyn Bioh’s School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play on Broadway and Nick Payne’s The Unbelievers Off-Broadway.
