Director Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys) brings his pedigree with crowd-pleasing biographical musicals to the fore and presents a show guaranteed to be as moving as it is entertaining.
Summer features a trio of powerhouse vocal performers to portray three different stages of Donna Summer’s life; LaChanze, Ariadna DeBose and Storm Lever. LaChanze and DeBose were each nominated for a Tony Award for their performances.
The show features a book by Colman Domingo, Robert Cary and Des McAnuff, while the high-energy choreography is provided by Sergio Trujillo.
