Expecting Tickets
Opens 30th January
Joe Dempsie and Katie Leung lead a star cast in this new play all about having (or not having) babies.
Expecting in London
To have babies, or to not have babies? That’s the question at the heart of Expecting, which premieres at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith in 2027. Joe Dempsie (Game of Thrones, Toxic Town) and Katie Leung lead a star cast in this new play, which explores why couples are waiting to have children… and sometimes opting out entirely.
About New Play Expecting
Their lives and careers are all sorted out, so Zoey and Ethan are ready to have the next big relationship chat: should they have a baby? Meanwhile, Zoey’s younger sister Trish already has two kids to keep her busy… and new boyfriend Matt, who’s basically a kid himself. Careers, ambitions, family opinions and even the weight of society all seem pretty heavy… so what will Zoey and Ethan decide to do?
As two couples who really thought they could have it all face a few home truths, Expecting asks us whether there’s really a right time to start a family.
