About Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going to Happen
Part stand-up set, part one-man show, Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going to Happen follows an unnamed comedian as he grapples with relationships, anxiety and self-loathing. Perpetually single and deeply neurotic, after a series of dating disasters, it seems too good to be true when the comedian meets a hunky, kind American who actually seems to be into him. And it turns out there is a catch... The American suffers from cataplexy, a condition that means if he laughs, he dies. As their relationship blooms, the comedian struggles to let down his walls and stop using humour as a coping mechanism. Will he allow himself to be truly vulnerable, or is he unable to resist delivering a killer punchline?
