Operation Mincemeat Tickets On Sale Now!

Did you know that World War Two was quite possibly won by a well-dressed corpse? Join a team of secret agents at the Fortune Theatre for the high-spirited, delightfully eccentric new musical Operation Mincemeat. Boasting 67 five-star reviews and an Olivier Award for Best New Musical, this is one of the most fun nights out in the West End, with a hardworking cast bringing slapstick humour, catchy songs and uplifting stories of friendship and love to the stage.

About Operation Mincemeat - A Plucky British Musical

The year is 1943 and the Allies are losing the war. From the great young minds at MI5 comes a bizarre but brilliant idea to wrongfoot the Nazis: dress a corpse up, handcuff a briefcase of “Top Secret” documents to his arm, and wash him up on the coast of Spain.

Stranger than fiction but 100% true, this madcap plan to fool Hitler is adapted into a new musical by fringe theatre company SplitLip. Playfully dubbed “Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train”, the Operation Mincemeat musical features a fast-paced plot, wicked humour and original songs including “God, That’s Brilliant”.

The Best-Reviewed Show in the West End

Operation Mincemeat is the proud owner of 67 five-star reviews - and counting! The Stage declared it a “brilliant spy thriller, a brilliant comedy, and a brilliant musical all rolled into one”, and newspapers across the UK followed suit.

This “irrepressible wartime musical is a West End triumph” (The Guardian), “a delight from start to finish” (Time Out) and a “glorious combination of ingenious, silly and surprisingly moving” (The Telegraph).

If you’re still not convinced, read theatregoer reviews below, and book your tickets for a night of high-spirited and irrepressible entertainment.

Well deserved for the Olivier. Very funny and clever including the multiple roles from the small cast. Music was surprising at times and many delightful moments throughout. I thought I was maybe not the target audience but was proven very wrong.

Excellent show, excellent performances from cast (only 5 members who each play numerous roles). Clever set and quick constume changes allow them to flawlessly transition into different character, seemingly seconds after having just exited stage as di Read more

Quite simply the best show in the West End. I had two covers on this evening but the entire company is just as brilliant as the main cast and it's fun to see their interpretation on the characters. Go watch it!
