The Picture of Dorian Gray Tickets

Theatre Royal Haymarket

Succession star Sarah Snook performs every single role in an exciting multimedia production of Oscar Wilde’s classic Gothic novel.

Succession’s Sarah Snook in a daring adaptation

What is the cost of eternal youth? Golden Globe winner Sarah Snook takes on all 26 roles in The Picture of Dorian Gray at Theatre Royal Haymarket. In London for 12 weeks only, the show propels Oscar Wilde’s story of narcissism, art and mortality into the 21st century.

When Dorian Gray sits for a portrait by his friend Basil Howard, he is struck by how beautiful and youthful his likeness is. If only the painting could age, and his real self remain unmarked…

This Victorian Gothic tale about a hubristic deal with the devil is revived in a groundbreaking production starring Sarah Snook. Snook was last on stage in The Old Vic’s The Master Builder, and following her acclaimed performance as Shiv Roy in Succession makes a triumphant West End return that is sure to be a hot ticket for theatregoers.

The Picture of Dorian Gray play is devised and directed by Kip Williams and mixes live performance and video in an explosive multimedia experience. Williams’ award-winning show was first seen in Sydney in 2020, and hailed a “dizzyingly beautiful tour-de-force” (The Guardian).

Unlike anything else I’ve ever seen on stage. A modernisation that respects the source material while pushing not just the story but the performance into a new era. Sarah Snook is beyond captivating.

You cannot miss this performance. Hardly a one person show since there are camera operators in full view. Much of the play is live projected. But this is not like Stranger Things, which feels more like a TV show than a live action play. This is live Read more
