Cast and Creative Team
Broadway royalty James Monroe Iglehart is a “knockout Louis Armstrong” (Chicago Tribune) in A Wonderful World on Broadway, following up his Tony Award-winning performance as Genie in Aladdin. He has also appeared in Hamilton and Spamalot, but it is his incredible transformation into the king of jazz that will have your jaws on the floor!The musical is conceived by Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Christopher Renshaw (The King and I) and novelist Andrew Delaplaine, with a book by Aurin Squire (This Is Us). Tenshaw directs, with choreography by Rickey Tripp (Associate Choreographer for Hell’s Kitchen and Choir Boy on Broadway). Together, they bring the story and sounds of the man who reinvented music to life for a whole new generation.
