Getting into the Venue

The Barrymore Theatre is accessible step-free from street level at 243 West 47th Street to the Orchestra.

All wheelchair spaces and companion seats are located in the Orchestra, which is completely step-free. There are also transfer seats across the section.

The Mezzanine is up three flights of stairs (30 steps) with an additional two steps up or down to each row. Entrance is between the Front and Rear Mezzanines, behind row E, and handrails are available at every stepped row. Transfer seats are available in both parts of the Mezzanine.

There are no elevators or escalators at this venue.

Customer Assistance

Theater representatives may be unable to assist patrons to their seats, so it is best to attend with a companion where possible.

A wheelchair accessible unisex restroom is located on the main level, step-free. Other restrooms are down 20 steps, below the Orchestra. These are not accessible for wheelchairs.

The Barrymore Theatre provides at-seat service for drinks and refreshments.

Section Accessibility

Orchestra

The Barrymore Theatre Orchestra is step-free for all patrons from the entrance and lobby.

The majority of the venue's accessible seating is located in this section, with around five wheelchair spaces and up to three companion seats each.

There are a further seven transfer seats available across the Orchestra in rows A to Q. One companion seat can be purchased alongside each of these.

Front Mezzanine

The Front Mezzanine is located up three flights of stairs (30 steps) with an entrance behind row E. Once in the section, there are two steps down to each row, with handrails available.

There is one transfer seat with a folding armrest in this section, in row E. One companion seat is available to purchase alongside this.

There are no wheelchair spaces in the Front Mezzanine, and it may be unsuitable for patrons with very limited mobility.

Rear Mezzanine

The Rear Mezzanine is located up three flights of stairs (30 steps) with entrance in front of row A. Once in the section, there are two steps up to each row, with handrails available.

There are three transfer seats in this section, at the sides of rows E and F. One companion seat is available to purchase alongside each accessible seat.

There are no wheelchair spaces in the Rear Mezzanine, and it may be unsuitable for patrons with very limited mobility.
