Job Broadway Tickets On Sale Now

Dive into the dark side of Big Tech and internet culture as hit psychological thriller Job transfers to Broadway for a strictly limited season. A young woman’s career rests in the hands of her therapist, but is everything as it seems? Twice extended and sold out Off-Broadway, this New York Times Critics Pick play, starring Succession’s Sydney Lemmon and Peter Friedman, is an unmissable “slick, cleverly-crafted drop-tower ride” (Vulture) at the Hayes Theater.

What is Job on Broadway about?

Jane has been placed on leave following a viral workplace incident, and she’d do anything to return to her Big Tech job as soon as possible. However, the decision has to be signed off by her therapist, and Lloyd suspects that her work might be more harmful than she lets on.

Slick, taught and full of suspense, Job is an unpredictable two-hander set in a therapist’s office that wowed audiences at SoHo Playhouse last year. Hailed by critics as “engrossing, disturbing and frequently funny” (The New York Times) and “a Black Mirror episode with the sci-fi dialed down and the punchy, cynical, HBO-ready dialogue dialed up” (New York Magazine), prepare for “80 minutes of pretty much pure tension” (Vulture) during which expectations are upended and shocks lurk around every corner.

Cast and Creative Team

Job is a dark deep-dive into the world of big tech and online content from playwright Max Wolf Friedlich, who made a splash with the world premiere downtown in Fall 2023. Michael Herwitz directs.

The SoHo Playhouse cast reprise their “riveting” (Daily Beast) roles on Broadway; Sydney Lemmon (Jane) is known for her leading role in Hulu’s Marvel Comics series Helstrom, and Peter Friedman (Lloyd) is a Tony Award-winning stage and screen actor with credits including HBO’s Succession, Hamlet and Ragtime.

This play was enthralling even before it veered off in a completely different direction. The ending was one of my favorites of any play. If you like neat endings that wrap everything up and answer every question, this is not the show for you.
