What is the musical Mamma Mia! about?

20-year-old Sophie and her mother Donna are preparing for Sophie’s wedding on the beautiful (and fictional) Greek island of Kalokairi. Sophie is desperate for her father to walk her down the aisle, but there’s one little problem - Donna has no idea who Sophie’s father is. When Sophie discovers Donna’s old diary, she learns that there are three potential papas - Harry, Bill and Sam - and invites each of the men along to the wedding. Donna is shocked to see her former lovers again, and as the wedding night draws nearer Donna must confront her past. Old flames are rekindled, and Sophie works to uncover the truth. Will she figure out who her father is in time for him to walk her down the aisle?
