The History of Other Desert Cities
Originally titled Love and Mercy, the play was first staged in California in 2010. Staged under its new title, Other Desert Cities, Jon Robin Baitz’s play made its Off-Broadway premiere at the Lincoln Center Theater in 2011, where it was named an Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play by the Outer Critics Circle.
Other Desert Cities made its Broadway debut in the same year at the Booth Theatre, where it received five Tony Award nominations and was named a 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama finalist.

Allison Janney plays the role of Silda. A multiple award-winning actor, including seven Primetime Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award. Her credits include The West Wing, I, Tonya and Present Laughter.
Joe Keery makes his Broadway debut as Trip in Other Desert Cities. Joe is known for starring as Steve Harrington on all five seasons of Stranger Things on Netflix. His other credits in film include Spree and Free Guy.
Lily Rabe plays the role of Brooke. Lily is best known for appearing on multiple seasons of FX’s American Horror Story. A Tony Award nomination for her role in The Merchant of Venice; her other credits include Steel Magnolias, Heartbreak House and Seminar.
