Garry Marshall’s classic romance Pretty Woman receives a highly-anticipated musical adaptation on Broadway, adding dramatic new sparks to one of Hollywood’s greatest love stories. Playing at the Nederlander Theatre, the much-loved movie is brought to theatrical life by a powerhouse creative team including Grammy Award-winner Bryan Adams.
Set in the late 1980s, Pretty Woman: The Musical tells the story of Vivian Ward, a down-on-her-luck actress hired as an escort by wealthy businessman Edward Lewis. As she spends a week attending social and business events with him, the pair develop feelings much deeper than the contract they’ve signed. Pretty Woman is above all a story about finding love whilst finding yourself, and has become an iconic touchstone of American cinema.
Jillian Mueller currently stars as Vivian Ward. Her previous credits include Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and touring productions of Dirty Dancing, Flashdance the Musical and American Idiot. Rent Live star Brennin Hunt plays opposite Mueller as Edward Lewis, marking his Broadway debut.
With a book taken from Garry Marshall and J.F. Lawton’s film script, Pretty Woman: The Musical at the Nederlander Theatre features music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Bryan Adams and collaborator Jim Vallance. It is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, who is no stranger to film adaptations - his award-winning resume includes Kinky Boots (2013) and Legally Blonde (2007).
Elevating classic scenes from the movie to new theatrical heights, Pretty Woman: The Musical is a sure-fire hit, bringing nostalgia and romance to the Nederlander Theatre.

Samantha Barks and Andy Karl lead this show with brilliant performances. I wasn't expecting much from the show, but came out feeling brilliant. A great set, outstanding performances, a good book, some great songs, and a wonderful ensemble.
