    Sweeney Todd on Broadway Tickets

    Lunt-Fontanne Theatre

    Closes on Sunday 5th May

The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is back on Broadway! Sondheim’s musical is as thrilling as ever in this Tony Award-winning revival.

The Demon Barber returns to Broadway

Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster star in the famously gory musical Sweeney Todd on Broadway, in a Tony Award-winning revival that will leave you in awe of Stephen Sondheim’s towering musical accomplishments.

When Sweeney Todd returns to London after being wrongfully imprisoned, he strikes up an unlikely business partnership with Mrs. Lovett. Together, they serve up the most curious pies in all of London… and Sweeney has revenge on his mind as well.

With gloriously dark and dramatic songs that evoke the gothic world of Victorian London, Sweeney Todd is one of composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim’s best-known musicals, featuring a book by Hugh Wheeler. For the first time since 1980, audiences can experience the tremendous score in its full glory, as Jonathan Tunick’s 26-player orchestration is performed on an epic scale at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

In this new production, directed by Tony Award-winner Thomas Kail (Hamilton), Tony Award winner Aaron Tveit (Moulin Rouge! The Musical) stars as the vengeful Sweeney Todd, opposite Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (Anything Goes) as Mrs. Lovett.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How much are Sweeney Todd Broadway tickets?

Ticket prices typically range from about $59 to $593 at this show, depending on when you book, performance dates and availability.

What are the most expensive tickets for Sweeney Todd on Broadway?

Premium seats for this star-studded show cost up to $593 and are located in Center Orchestra rows C-P, as well as the first few seats in Left and Right Orchestra on the same rows. Rows A-B of Center Front Mezzanine are also top price, with “incredible” views (A113 ).

Opt for the Orchestra where the “view of the stage couldn’t be better,” according to one theatergoer who sat in G108 . Another SeatPlan user in G108 agreed, rating their view 5 stars and “one of the best views I could have asked for”. The impressive, atmospheric staging is breathtaking from here, and you can enjoy a full view of the action without missing the subtle emotional beats from the actors as they perform this gripping Sondheim musical.

How can I get cheap tickets for Sweeney Todd on Broadway?

Book at least a month in advance for availability in the cheapest price bands for this show, because it is very popular. Whenever you choose to book, consider attending midweek if possible when tickets can be up to 38% cheaper than a Saturday night. Matinees, especially midweek matinees, are also cheaper than evenings.

Restricted view seats can be hidden gems at this show if you want to save money. Seats in the Left and Right Orchestra, just a few across from premium, are very well-rated. For example, J16 - often over $100 cheaper than seats just a bit closer to the center - is “excellent”, while T17 has just a tiny bit of the stage cut off, but is otherwise clear. Even the back of the Rear Mezzanine, far from the stage, is considered a good option with one SeatPlan user suggesting they preferred it to the Orchestra for views of the upper level platform.
