Mischief Theatre burst onto the West End scene with The Play That Goes Wrong in 2012, and it has been running at the Duchess Theatre since 2014. An instant hit with theatregoers and critics, the play has embarked on UK tours and won several awards, including the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy in 2015.
Its transfer to Broadway took place in 2017, with the original cast starring in its first home at the Lyceum Theatre, where it played for over 500 performances. Now at New World Stages, where its played since 2019, this is a remarkable journey for a production that originated from the upstairs of a pub theatre in London.
