The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window on Broadway Tickets

James Earl Jones Theatre

Oscar Isaac and Rachel Brosnahan star in the first major revival of Lorraine Hansberry’s powerful drama about identity, idealism and love.

An astonishing revival, starring Oscar Isaac

Walk along the streets of a long-gone New York, where idealists dream, fight and fall out of love in Lorraine Hansberry’s The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window at the James Earl Jones Theatre. This anticipated production stars Oscar Isaac and Rachel Brosnahan.

In 1960s Greenwich Village, a group of friends have progressive ideas, but reality doesn’t always measure up. Within this group are Sidney and Iris Brustein, a couple whose marriage is marked by a fiery wit, passion and sparks of cruelty. Can the relationship survive Sidney’s idealism?

Lorraine Hansberry’s play is a sharp, satirical piece, and one which has the power to reach across the years into the 21st century with startling clarity. Best-known for her landmark play A Raising in the Sun, Hansberry’s The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window on Broadway enjoys its first major revival since premiering in 1964.

Oscar Isaac (Scenes from a Marriage; Star Wars) stars as Sidney opposite Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Iris in this sweeping production, directed by Anne Kauffman (Belleville).

This incisive and moving play finally returns to the city it was inspired by. Book The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window tickets to see the astonishing revival on Broadway.
