Criterion Theatre accessibility

Getting into the Venue

The main entrance to the Criterion Theatre foyer is located in Piccadilly Circus. Step-free access is available upon request via an alternative wheelchair entrance, which is next to the Stage Door on Jermyn Street, behind the theatre. A drop-off point is available directly opposite the accessible entrance.

Once inside the theatre, there is a slight slope down to the Upper Circle, where two wheelchair spaces are available in Row C, to the left of C20. Other sections, including the bars, are only accessible via stairs as the Criterion Theatre has no customer lift.

Customer Assistance

Staff are on hand to assist with navigation and any special requirements. For those who wish to transfer, it is recommended that a companion is brought. Staff are permitted to help with transferring patrons from a wheelchair into fixed seating.

An at-seat service is available for patrons who are unable to access the bars.

How to Book

Access tickets can be booked directly through the Criterion Theatre Box Office either by email, phone or in person. For those who have specific access requirements or request assistance or wheelchair spaces, it is important to book well in advance to ensure availability and notify the staff before visiting the theatre. Discounts are available for all disabled customers and one companion, bringing tickets to £20 each.
