Next to Embankment, the Playhouse Theatre is centrally located with brilliant views of the River Thames. There are many attractions and amenities nearby, with access to excellent transport links. As well as walks along the river, the National Gallery, Whitehall, St James’s Park and Charing Cross Theatre cater to a range of interests. Charing Cross Station is located next to the theatre, less than a 5 minute walk away. Exit the front of the station and turn left onto The Strand, taking the first left onto the pedestrianised Craven Street. Walk downhill toward the river, stay on Craven Street until the end, and the Playhouse Theatre will be on your left.Tube
Embankment is the closest tube station to the theatre, giving access to the District, Circle, Northern and Bakerloo lines. From the station, turn left and walk under the bridge on Embankment Place. The end of the road meets Northumberland Avenue. Turn right and cross the road, and the theatre will be in front of you.You can also reach the theatre from Charing Cross tube station, which is served by the Northern and Bakerloo lines.

Car
The Playhouse Theatre participates in Q-Park’s Theatreland discounted parking scheme. Theatre patrons can receive 50% off parking costs when theatre staff validate the parking ticket. The nearest Q-Park car parks are Trafalgar Square and Chinatown, between 10 and 15 minutes from the theatre. This costs £22 for up to 3 hours, and £29.50 for 4 hours.The theatre falls inside London’s Congestion Charge Zone, which costs £11.50 between 7am and 6pm. Travel outside of this time is free. Patrons can be dropped off outside the theatre on Northumberland Avenue.
