Getting into the Venue

Access to the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre is step-free from 236 West 45th Street, and accessible seating can be easily reached in the Orchestra.

Wheelchair, transfer and companion seats are available at every performance in the back rows of the Orchestra. A further four transfer seats are located in rows F and J of the Mezzanine, which is up one flight of stairs (31 steps). There are also two steps up or down to each row in this section.

There are no elevators or escalators at this venue, but all staircases and stepped rows in the Mezzanine have handrails. Patrons with limited mobility should aim for seats in the Orchestra as a first choice, therefore.

Customer Assistance

A wheelchair accessible unisex restroom is available, step-free, on the main level. Other restrooms are down one level in the lower lounge, and are not wheelchair accessible.

The Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre has a coat check available for all patrons, although larger items may not be accepted.

Please be advised that staff may be unable to assist with steps into or inside the venue. It is therefore advisable to bring a companion to the performance.

Section Accessibility

Orchestra

The Orchestra is entirely step-free for all patrons, and it is on the same level as the entrance to the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.

Once in the section, there are seven wheelchair spaces across rows R and S, with up to three companion seats per booking in front or to the side. A further seven transfer seats with folding armrests are located in rows K, L, N, Q and R with one companion seat available for each.

Mezzanine

There are four transfer seats with folding armrests in the Mezzanine located at J27, F101, J102 and J114. Each transfer seat has a companion seat available to purchase to the side.

There are no elevators or escalators at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, so patrons booking these transfer seats will need to access the section up one flight of stairs (31 steps). Entrance is behind row K, and there are two steps down to each row. Handrails are located at the end of every stepped row.
