Getting into the VenueThere is an ADA accessible entrance to the Hayes Theater from the Stage Door and ramps in the lower lobby. A ramp aisle in the Orchestra leads to the wheelchair and companion seats.
An elevator from the lower lobby takes patrons to the Mezzanine level where there are more wheelchair and companion seats. An ADA accessible box office is available so wheelchair patrons can buy their own tickets.
Customer AssistanceWhile step-free access is available to most areas of the Hayes Theater, staff may not be available to assist patrons with limited mobility, so it is best to visit the theater with a companion if possible.
For access patrons, it is best to contact the theater in advance to ensure they are ready to give you all the assistance you may need, and to arrange access via the stage door if required.
For the hearing impaired, open captioning is provided for one performance of each production at the Hayes Theater. Additionally, the Hayes Theater also offers LOOP Assistive Listening System, which is a wireless technology that transmits speech or music on stage directly to cochlear implants and hearing aids with T-coils.
