About the It’s a Wonderful Life Radio Play
Set in a 1940s radio studio high about New York City, It’s a Wonderful Life transports you back in time, when a group of actors are recording the story in front of a live audience. The story itself - about George Bailey, a man who always puts other people before himself and ultimately learns just how much he means to those around him - is brought to life with warm-hearted charm as the actors play dozens of characters between them.
In keeping with the nostalgic theme, a foley artist creates sound effects live on stage, and there are even some carols to enjoy. This is a fantastic tribute to a bygone era of performance and radio that frames one of the most famous Christmas stories of all time.
