Getting into the Venue

Access to the Lucille Lortel Theatre is step-free from the entrances on Christopher Street. There is ramp access to the first floor of the theater suitable for wheelchairs and motorized chairs. The ramp into the Orchestra section is located in the lobby; it is 42” wide and once you are in the Orchestra, the aisles are 35” wide.

Wheelchair spaces and other accessible seating are located in the Orchestra. The Mezzanine is located up 20 steps and is not suitable for wheelchair users or patrons with limited mobility.

Customer Assistance

There are six removable ADA seats in the Orchestra and companion seats next to or nearby. Wheelchair spaces are in A102, A103, A106, A10, B5 and B6. These seats are 24” wide.

There are three transfer seats with lifting arms in C1, L1 and F110.

If you would like assistance in reaching your seats or want to request seats be removed, please contact the venue ahead of time and speak to House Management upon arrival. House Management can store wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and other assistive devices for any patrons who wish to transfer into a seat.

An accessible restroom is on the first floor of the theater and is open before and after the performance and during the intermission. Other gender-neutral restrooms are located up 20 steps in the Mezzanine.

The water fountain and concessions stand are both located in the mezzanine. House Management are on hand to assist with purchasing refreshments if you cannot make it up the stairs.
