Set in the Montmartre Quarter of Paris at the turn of the 20th century, Moulin Rouge! Amidst the glamor and music of the famous Moulin Rouge dance hall, composer Christian and star chanteuse Satine become doomed lovers.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical features a book by Tony Award-winning playwright John Logan, whose other work includes Red and Peter and Alice for the stage, and The Aviator, Skyfall and Penny Dreadful for the screen. Director Alex Timbers (Rocky, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) pulls double duty on Broadway with his production of Beetlejuice also hugely popular. Emmy Award nominee and choreographer Sonya Tayeh and designer Dereck McLane are also part of the creative team.
