The story of Jay Gatsby and his obsession with former love Daisy becomes an exhilarating musical, with jazz- and pop-influenced songs and opulent sets that throw you into the hedonistic spirit of the 1920s Long Island lifestyle. Its premiere at Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey shattered box office records and was a must-have ticket.

Cast and Creative Team

The Great American Novel has never been so glamorous, and its cast represents the best of Broadway talent! Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies; Little Shop of Horrors) stars as Jay Gatsby opposite Tony Award nominee Eva Noblezada (Hadestown; Miss Saigon) as Daisy Buchanan, and the duo are joined by a roaring creative team including director Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical).

The show’s book, by Kait Kerrigan, launches Fitzgerald’s story onto the stage and is complemented by Jason Howard's (Little Women) and Nathan Tysen’s (Paradise Square) score that mixes the sounds of the Jazz Age with contemporary pop.
