Getting into the Venue

The Winter Garden Theatre is accessible step-free from street level to the main lobby on 1634 Broadway. Automatic doors take patrons to the ticket lobby, with a further two sets of double doors to the inner lobby and Orchestra. Ushers are available to attend both of these double doors.

The Orchestra is entirely step-free, with wheelchair and companion seats spread across the front, middle and back of the section. Transfer aisle seats with folding armrests are also available at various points in the Orchestra. A further few seats with folding armrests are in the Mezzanine, although these must be reached by two flights of stairs (34 steps). There are no elevators or escalators at this venue.

Customer Assistance

Box Office counters are varying heights to accommodate patrons, with staff available to assist.

A wheelchair accessible unisex restroom is located on the Orchestra level. The restroom is ADA compliant and has grab bars to aid patrons. Guests should be aware that the restrooms on ground level cannot accommodate wheelchairs.

Please be aware that staff are unable to provide assistance to patrons where there are steps into or inside the theater, so it is advised that you attend with a companion where possible.

Section Accessibility

Orchestra

There are 20 wheelchair spaces across the Orchestra, mainly along the back row. Others can be found on the aisles of rows D-R, with plenty of adjacent companion seating. An additional 11 transfer seats are likewise found across the Orchestra, also with companion seats. The Orchestra is entirely step-free with handrails, so patrons with limited mobility will be able to easily access seats.

Mezzanine

Five transfer seats with folding armrests are spread across the far Right, center Right, and center Left sections of the Mezzanine, with a companion seat available for each.

The Mezzanine is not served by an escalator or elevator. Therefore, all patrons will need to walk up 34 steps to the section, with another two steps up or down to each row. Handrails are only available at the very far side aisles; patrons with limited mobility should exercise caution before booking seats in the Mezzanine, therefore.

The Winter Garden Theatre Mezzanine is not accessible to wheelchairs.
