Stalls Guide
Stall seats in the Edinburgh Playhouse are divided into five separate blocks with rows that fan out around the stage. This section has a total seating capacity of 1,500, with the longest rows reaching up to 51 seats towards the middle.
The Circle overhang slightly obscures the view when seated towards the rear of the Stalls and the stage can also feel quite distant from here. Seats are generally comfortable, but legroom becomes gradually more limited towards the rear of the auditorium.
The Stalls offers excellent overall views, with the best seats located in the centre of the section, due to the height of the stage.
Bars
The Stalls bar can be found level with the seating and is accessible via 40 steps down from the theatre’s main entrance. A wide range of drinks and snacks are available.
Toilets
Women’s and Men’s toilets can be found on this level.
