Location

West of Central London, you can find the bustling neighbourhood of Hammersmith. The Lyric Hammersmith is close to the River Thames, several parks and other performance venues including the Eventim Apollo and Riverside Studios. The area has a busy High Street with many shops and eateries, and is a bus ride away from Westfield in Shepherd’s Bush. Hammersmith is a busy, local area filled more with locals rather than tourists. Do make sure you plan your journey using www.tfl.gov.uk before you travel.

Rail

Kensington (Olympia) is the nearest rail station, approximately a 20 minute walk away. Take a left out of the station onto Olympia Way, carry on until Hammersmith Road and turn right, continuing for around 15 minutes. Reaching a junction with Butterwick and Bute Gardens, keep going straight ahead onto King Street. As the road turns left, the theatre is on the right in Lyric Square.

Alternatively, you can take a bus from Kensington (Olympia) which stops at points near the theatre.

Tube

There are two Hammersmith tube stations that are across the road from each other, served by the Piccadilly, District, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines. From either station, exit onto Hammersmith Road. Head toward The Swan pub between King Street and Beadon Road. Walk down the side of the pub on King Street, and the theatre is ahead of you on the right.

Bus

Hammersmith Bus Station is situated next to the tube station, with access to bus routes: 9, 10, 27, 33, 72, 190, 209, 211, 220, 266, 283, 295, 419, 485, 609 and H91. All stop approximately 5 minutes from the Lyric Hammersmith.

Car

The Lyric Hammersmith is not part of the Q-park Theatreland scheme. The closest car park is the King’s Mall car park on Glenthorne Road. Prices start at £3.00 for 2 hours, £4.50 for 3 hours, and £5.50 for up to 4 hours.

The Lyric Hammersmith is outside the London Congestion Charge zone, so it is free to drive to the theatre. There are no drop-offs permitted on Lyric Square, however taxis and drivers may stop on King Street.
