Getting into the Venue

The Neil Simon Theatre is accessible step-free from street level to the lobby and Orchestra at 250 West 52nd Street.

Step-free access is available to seven wheelchair designated seats in rows U and V of the Orchestra, with companion spaces in adjacent seats. A further eight transfer seats are on aisles across rows G, J, P and S.

Six transfer seats are located in the Mezzanine, although this section is accessible by stairs only, so may be unsuitable for patrons with very limited mobility. Handrails are available on stepped rows in the Mezzanine.

There are no elevators or escalators at this venue.

Customer Assistance

Theatre representatives can meet patrons in the lobby and escort them to their seats, although it is advisable to bring a companion where possible.

A wheelchair accessible unisex restroom is located on the Orchestra level. Other restrooms are up one flight of stairs in the Mezzanine, and in the lower lounge, one flight down from Orchestra level. These are not wheelchair accessible, but wide stalls are available.

There is no coat check at the Neil Simon Theatre, so any extra luggage may not be admitted.

Section Accessibility

Orchestra

The Orchestra is entirely step-free for all patrons, and is accessible directly from the theater’s lobby, where representatives are able to meet theatergoers and escort them to wheelchair and transfer seats. Seven wheelchair spaces are located in U4, U10, U103, V3, V5, V11 and V13, with up to three companion seats available with each purchase.

A further eight transfer seats with folding armrests are on the inside aisles of rows G, J, P and S.

Mezzanine

There are six aisle transfer seats with folding armrests in F101, F124, H101, H124, T101 and T127. These are towards the middle and rear of the Mezzanine, and are not step-free.

The Mezzanine is accessible by stairs only, and is located one floor up from the ground-floor Orchestra. Once in the section, there may be one or two steps up and down to each row. Handrails are available on stepped rows, but patrons with limited mobility should take care if booking seats in this section.
