A Ground-breaking New Version at the Globe
Spoken English and BSL are performed together on stage in a ground-breaking production from director Blanche McIntrye. Expect fireworks from McIntrye, who is a seasoned Shakespeare director with credits including All’s Well That Ends Well, Titus Andronicus and The Two Noble Kinsmen at the RSC; and Measure for Measure; The Winter’s Tale and As You Like It at the Globe Theatre.BSL Consultant Daryl Jackson collaborates with McIntrye to creatively integrate British Sign Language and Spoken English throughout the performance.
The cast includes Nadia Nadarajah as Cleopatra. Nadarajah appeared at the Globe as Celia in As You Like It (2018) and was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for the Broadway World UK Awards for her performance.
