A razor-sharp take on the rise of Hitler, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui stars Olivier Award-winning actor Henry Goodman in the title role.

Taking place in the Great Depression of 1930’s Chicago, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui is the cuttingly witty take on Hitler’s rise, in an adaptation by George Tabori, revised by Alistair Beaton. In a time of unemployment, fear and corruption, an opportunity for a small-time boss and his henchmen to make it big comes to light. Accompanied by his mob of gangsters, Arturo Ui runs protection rackets for works, and soon his menacing shadow looms large over the whole city. Quickly, it becomes apparent that he cannot be stopped.
