Join Dorothy and Toto as they are spirited from drab Kansas to the weird and wonderful Land of Oz. On their journey, they meet Scarecrow, Tinman and Lion, but not far behind is the Wicked Witch. What are her plans for the little girl and her dog?

Aston Merrygold and The Vivienne in The Wizard of Oz

The cast is led by JLS sensation Aston Merrygold, who turns his sharp pop-star moves to the Tinman, and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne, who delivers delicious villainy as the Wicked Witch of the West.

Together, they create theatrical magic for all ages in director Nikolai Foster’s “dazzlingly bright” (Time Out) production, which premiered at Leicester Curve over Christmas 2022. It conjures up technicolour sets, exciting video and stage effects, heartfelt musical moments, and a story to get lost in. It is a good up to date version of The Wizard of Oz with a fantastic cast. The smaller parts of the set that was brought on and taken off stage was good however the one thing that let the show down was that they used projected images for the scenery.
