The Shark Is Broken on Broadway Tickets

Golden Theatre

The hit West End show swims onto Broadway, giving us a chaotic glimpse behind the scenes of Jaws. Watch out for malfunctioning sharks!

The chaotic making of Jaws!

Dive behind the scenes of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws in hilarious new play The Shark Is Broken at the Golden Theatre. Robert Shaw’s diaries are transformed into a smart, snappy and laugh-out-loud funny three-hander, direct from the West End.

Filming on Jaws has stopped, again. Three actors are sitting in a boat, and the shark has malfunctioned. As they wait for the cameras to start rolling again, Robert Shaw, Roy Scheider and Richard Dreyfuss drink, argue and butt heads. Can their egos survive the voyage, or will the whole production sink?

Inspired by material from Shaw’s filming diaries and screenwriter Carl Gottlieb’s book The Jaws Log, The Shark Is Broken is a tantalizing behind-the-scenes drama that celebrates the good, the bad and the ugly that led to a Hollywood blockbuster.

The show is co-written by Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon, and directed by Guy Masterson. Shaw also stars as his late father Robert.

Choppy waters on set made for cinematic history! Hook The Shark Is Broken tickets for a sensationally fun night at the theater.

This show was a tad bit slow at times, but overall I really enjoyed it! The actors gave phenomenal performances, and there was an excellent mix of comedy and drama (mostly comedy). I would strongly recommend watching the film before seeing this.
