LocationThe Ambassadors Theatre is located in the cosy neighbourhood of Seven Dials, close to Covent Garden, Leicester Square and Chinatown. The immediate area has boutique shopping, coffee shops and many excellent restaurants. Located in Central London, there are plenty of transport links. RailCharing Cross Station is a 15-20 minute walk from the theatre. After exiting the station onto The Strand, turn left onto Duncannon Street. At the end of the road, turn right onto Charing Cross Road. You will pass the National Gallery on your left. Continue on Charing Cross Road for about 10 minutes, past Leicester Square Station. Turn right onto Litchfield Street, then make a left onto West Street. The theatre will be on the right, at the corner of Tower Court.
TubeLeicester Square is the closest tube station to the theatre, served by the Northern and Piccadilly lines. Exit the station onto Charing Cross Road, then turn right, heading towards Great Newport Street. When you reach Litchfield Street, turn right and follow the road to the end. Make a hard left onto West Street, and the Ambassadors Theatre will be on the right side.
You can also easily reach the theatre from Covent Garden, served by the Piccadilly line or Holborn, which is served by the Piccadilly and Central lines.
BusThere are several bus stops on Charing Cross Road and Shaftesbury Avenue, both of which are located close to the theatre.
Bus routes include: 14, 19, 24, 29, 38 and 176, all of which are approximately a 5 minute walk from the Ambassadors Theatre.
CarAs the Ambassadors Theatre is located in the West End, Q-Park’s Theatreland scheme offers a 50% discount to theatre patrons. The closest car parks are Chinatown and Soho, with costs ranging from £22 for up to 3 hours, and £29.50 for 4 hours.
London’s Congestion Charge covers the theatre’s location, which costs £11.50 between 7am and 6pm. Taxis and drivers may drop off audience members outside of the theatre, either on Tower Court or West Street.
