Getting into the venue
In order to gain step-free access to the Royal Festival Hall, patrons should use the entrance by Queen Elizabeth Hall Slip Road and use the ‘JCB Glass Lift’ to the main foyer, alternatively there is an external lift next to the Artists’ Entrance on Belvedere Road. Once inside the main foyer, lifts to all levels can be found at either side of the building.The Royal Festival Hall has worked with AccessAble to make it easier to plan your theatre trip before you visit. Customer Assistance
Staff are on hand to assist with navigation throughout the Royal Festival Hall. All sections of the theatre can be reached by stairs or large customer lifts. There is a Welcome Desk for assistance and information located on Level 2.How to Book
The Southbank Centre, which encompasses the Royal Festival Hall, has launched an Access Scheme for audience members with specific requirements. The scheme enables customers to book concessionary tickets for companions and lists information on upcoming assisted events.Section Accessibility
Front Stalls
The front stalls can be accessed step-free via customer lifts at either side of the auditorium on levels 3 and 4. Seats in the front stalls are accessed via shallow steps across the auditorium, seats towards the front and rear of the section require fewer steps for customers with limited mobility.
Accessible toilets are available on all floors of the Royal Festival Hall.
Side Stalls
The rear stalls can be accessed step-free via customer lifts at either side of the auditorium on levels 4 and 5.
There is level access to rows AA and X in the rear stalls which include wheelchair spaces. Seats in the rear stalls are accessed via shallow steps across the auditorium, seats towards the front and rear of the section require fewer steps for customers with limited mobility.

The balcony can be accessed step-free via customer lifts at either side of the auditorium on levels 5 and 6. Once inside the auditorium, there are steps to all rows in this section. Accessible toilets are available on all floors of the Royal Festival Hall.
Green Side Boxes
The Green Side Boxes can be accessed via lifts at the venue and are step-free. Ask a member of staff for directions upon arrival. Larger wheelchairs cannot be accommodated in the boxes due to limited space.
Blue Side Boxes
The Blue Side Boxes are accessed via lift and are step-free. Larger wheelchairs cannot be accommodated in the boxes due to limited space.
