The Winter Garden Theatre is one of the few venues on Broadway itself, at 1634 between 50th and 51st Streets. Like many other theaters it sits at the heart of New York’s popular tourist district, with other attractions including the Museum of Modern Art and Rockefeller Plaza within easy walking distance. The Winter Garden Theatre is serviced by good transport links including the subway and buses.
The closest subway to the Winter Garden Theatre is 50th Street and 9th, which can be reached via the 1 or 9 lines. From the station, it is a three-minute walk south east along West 51st Street before turning onto Broadway.
Other subway stations close by include 7th Avenue, served by the D and E lines. Walk three minutes to the theater by heading northwest along West 53rd Street before turning left onto Broadway.
The Winter Garden Theatre is within walking distance of stops served by the M7, M20, M50 and M104 bus routes. Once off the bus, it is no more than five minutes’ walk to the theater.
Visitors can get a taxi to the Winter Garden Theatre, but if driving themselves, several garages are within walking distance. Convenient options include Icon Parking on West 51st Street, Redball Parking LLC on West 49th Street, and LAZ Parking on West 46th Street.
Choosing a garage further from the theater may reduce waiting times.
