Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre Seat Guide

The Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre New York has a capacity of 1072 seats. Section capacities are 644 Orchestra and 428 Mezzanine. Use our interactive seating chart to view 997 seat reviews and 953 view from seat photos.

The Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre comprises two main levels. The ground-floor Orchestra is the largest and views are generally very good here, although the Mezzanine overhang cuts into the stage after row O. There are some excellent, wide views in the Mezzanine, especially in seats placed more centrally above the stage. Further back, this section’s good rake keeps views clear and not too distant. On both levels, seats on the far aisle are more restricted; Boxes offer similarly angled views.

Best Seats for The Outsiders Broadway

  • Sometimes seats labelled “partial view” are less restricted for the current show; for The Outsiders, seats on the right-hand side of the Mezzanine (high even numbers) offer a great view.
  • You might get covered by blood, rain, or gravel from the front row. Our users also say that the stage is quite high, so it might be a restricted view if you are shorter. Other users say that a few rows back will get you a perfect view of the stage, but you might still be hit by rain and gravel.
  • There is a walkway in front of Mezzanine Row E, making seats in the aisle a great choice if you’re looking for a little extra legroom.
  • Seats in the middle to rear of the Orchestra are best for avoiding any obstructions from the show's set.

Good value seats

For patrons with a budget in mind, there are many good value seats in the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. The middle rows in the Center Orchestra are below premium and offer a good look at the stage. In the Mezzanine, rows G to K are well-elevated, and a decent rake means the very rear of the section is surprisingly clear.

Premium seats

Rows A to D in the Center Orchestra are considered some of the best in the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre: they offer immersive detail which is perfect for a play, whilst not being uncomfortably close. In the Mezzanine, rows A and B, especially in the middle, provide similar premium views with the extra benefit of an elevated look at the set.
