What is the Cabaret musical about?

The Master of Ceremonies welcomes you to the decadent world of the dingy, free-spirited cabaret in which English dancer Sally Bowles and American writer Cliff Bradshaw strike up a relationship. Meanwhile, on the streets outside, the Nazi Party is on the rise and the city’s freedom is under threat.

Director Rebecca Frecknall’s Olivier Award-winning revival of Kander and Ebb’s musical invites you into a strikingly reconfigured Playhouse Theatre. Soak in the sights and sounds of the Prologue Company's unmissable performance, before heading inside to see a show that mixes politics, hedonism, dazzling choreography and iconic songs including “Money”, “Don’t Tell Mama” and "Maybe This Time".

Cara Delevingne in Cabaret

Until 1 June 2024, model and actress Cara Delevingne stars as Sally Bowles, marking her West End musical debut. Her screen credits include Paper Towns and Suicide Squad. She is joined by a cast including Olivier Award winner Luke Treadaway (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) as the Emcee.

From 3 June - 21 September 2024, Everybody's Talking About Jamie and Strictly Come Dancing's Layton Williams stars as the Emcee, and Heartstopper's Rhea Norwood as Sally Bowles.
