After seven sensational years in the West End, the Birmingham Stage Company return with a world premiere of their latest hilarious production, Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain Part Four. Bringing to life historical characters from Britain’s colourful past, the stage show plays a strictly limited season that is guaranteed to entertain audiences of all ages!

We all want to meet characters from history. The trouble is, they all seem to be dead! But never fear, as the Horrible Histories clan are here to ensure that everyone is introduced to the hilarious heroes and vile villains of the past! Prepare to meet the ruthless Romans, get shaken and stirred by Richard III and shudder at Elizabeth I’s terrible teeth!

Survive King James I’s witch-hunt and mount a mutiny against King Henry VIII! See Mary Tudor knock the spots off Mary Queen of Scots, but not before peeping into the world of Samuel Pepys and lending a hand to Georgian detectives on the hunt for the headless man! Round off with the night soil men and discover how to live through the first ever train ride!

Horrible Histories is the best-selling book series created by Terry Deary that has been adapted into a smash-hit television series, as well as acclaimed stage shows. Barmy Britain Part Four is written, created by and stars Neal Foster, with set and costume design by Jacqueline Trousdale, lighting design by Jason Taylor and sound design by Nick Sagar.

Dubbed as “history with all the nasty bits left in”, prepare to laugh and learn with a world premiere of a new show, from the company behind successes including Gangsta Granny, More Best of Barmy Britain and Barmy Britain Parts I, II and III. Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain Part Four plays a summer season at London’s Apollo Theatre, from 2 August to 1 September 2018.
