Adapted from the best-selling children’s book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, Room on the Broom is the tale of the clumsy witch who enlists the help of friends to find her lost hat and wand! But when a fiery dragon appears, who will save them? Featuring plenty of songs, fun and laughs, Room on the Broom is perfect for a family treat!

Tall Stories bring their Olivier Award-nominated children’s production Room on the Broom flying back into the West End for another acclaimed run at the Lyric Theatre London. Adapted for the stage from the best-selling book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, Room on the Broom is the mischievous tale of a clumsy witch, which will have the whole family enthralled!

When a friendly witch and her loyal cat take an evening flight through the woods, they are surprised when a sudden gust of wind blows them away! They are even more surprised when the witch’s hat and magic wand are blown into the dark night! Enlisting the help of a dopy dog, beautiful bird and friendly frog to help recover her lost belongings, the unlikely group find themselves in deeper trouble when the broomstick snaps from underneath them! And when a very hungry dragon appears, who will help to save them?

Brought to the stage by Tall Stories, the company prove once more that they are a dab-hand at adapting children’s tales, following their hit adaptation of The Gruffalo. Originally founded in 1997, Tall Stories is a registered charity that brings to life stories with an exciting blend of original music, laughs and physical storytelling techniques that will engage even the tiniest of theatregoers.

Directed by Olivia Jacobs, Room on the Broom features design by Morgan Large, puppet design by Yvonne Stone, lighting design by James Whiteside and choreography by Morag Cross, with original music and lyrics by Jon Fiber, Andy Shaw and Robin Price. A spellbinding adventure adapted by an acclaimed company, Room on the Broom features plenty of musical talent and fun characters that are sure to enthral mums, dads and toddlers!
