Showstopper! The Improvised Musical is a hilariously innovative way of creating a show, as the audience see seven swift-thinking performers, their band and technical team think up songs and scenarios on the spot. Armed with an abundance of audience suggestions, Dylan Emery as the narrator loosely directs the actors, who make up lyrics, lines and laughs all in the space of seconds. From romance to action, horror to comedy, farms to businesses and even historical events, The Showstoppers have covered just about every scenario – and yet they are continuously creating more!
Eleven performers alternate each night, including creators Emery and Meggido, alongside performers and comedians Ruth Bratt, Pippa Evans, Susan Harrison, Sean McCann, Phillip Pellew, Adam Puglsey, Oliver Senton, Lucy Trodd and Sarah Louise-Young. Even the musical director Duncan Walsh Atkins and the technical team Tim Mascall and Tom Lishman are experienced improvisers with the responsibility of making the whole show flow smoothly. With an entirely new musical guaranteed each night, Showstopper! The Improvised Musical is the perfect production to keep returning to, and could end up running forever!
