The Crucible Tickets

National Theatre - Olivier

Arthur Miller’s story of paranoia, power and abuse during the Salem witch trials is a gripping modern classic.

Paranoia and witchcraft in Salem

Paranoia and accusation rear their heads in Arthur Miller’s modern classic, The Crucible, which returns to London in a powerful new production at the National Theatre.

Set in Salem, Massachusetts, The Crucible is the story of a community on the edge as hysteria spreads like wildfire and neighbours eye each other with suspicion. When a group of young women find their collective voice and realise their fearsome power, cries of evil echo out, and a terrifying trial unfolds.

The Crucible is a gripping account of a small community whipped into a frenzy by American playwright Arthur Miller (Death of a Salesman). In London, director Lindsey Turner (Under Milk Wood; Top Girls) presents an urgent and visceral revival of the play on the National Theatre’s Olivier stage.

The Crucible London cast includes Erin Doherty (The Crown) as Abigail Williams, Brendan Cowell (Yerma) as John Proctor, Eileen Walsh (Women on the Verge) as Elizabeth Proctor and Fisayo Akinade (Romeo and Juliet) as Reverend Hale.

Running for a strictly limited season, book The Crucible tickets to experience the full force of Miller’s compelling theatrical masterpiece.
