A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood. What happened next will have you on the edge of your seat for an hour! Join Mouse on a journey through the forest and encounter Snake, Owl and Fox, who are all terrified of the mythical Gruffalo, who definitely does not exist… Does he?

The Gruffalo is an hour long on stage extravaganza adapted from Julia Donaldson’s award-winning children’s book, illustrated by Alex Scheffler.

Like the book, the stage show tells the tale of a curious and cunning mouse who takes a stroll through the woods and encounters various other woodland creatures. As the creatures, Fox, Owl and Snake, eye up Mouse as a potential snack, Mouse cleverly dissuades them from advancing on him by suggesting he is going to soon be joined by a scary monster – the Gruffalo. Silly old creatures, didn’t they know, there is no such thing as the Gruffalo… or is there? Mouse is shocked when he comes face to face with the real creature from his imagination!

With songs, dancing, physical performances, an impressive set and vibrant costumes, The Gruffalo is a treat both the eyes and the ears.

The show has been such a success since it began in 2001 that it regularly returns to the West End for seasonal runs and has toured everywhere from Europe to Australia, Hong Kong to Dubai and New York to Alaska! It is a safe bet that this show will be an enjoyable theatrical experience for those lucky enough to be in the audience.

At just 55 minutes long, The Gruffalo is aimed at children, especially those who know and love the book. That said, adults are likely to be just as entertained!
